Model 2020C Bladder scanner phantom for mechanical transducers

Description and specifications:

Outer dimensions: Diameter 16 cm, height 15 cm Weight 2 kg

This phantom is made without substances to adjust the speed of sound, so the displaied volume will be a factor 1540/1495 ^3 larger than the physical volume. A bladder of 118 ml will be displaied as beeing 130 ml.

Instructions:

Rotate the transducer slightly to mount it in the holder. Use the preservative fluid as coupling media.

Be sure that there is at least 2½ - 3 cm fluid to scan through. If possible set the scanner to test-mode or infant-mode.

Scan the phantom from the top surface through the fluid.

Caution: Don´t press the transducer into the phantom.

The phantom is made of fragile jelly that only is protected of a 0,5 mm thin PP plate. Handled with care.

Please notice that the lid may not be 100 % tight. Drain fluid off before transportation, but never let it stay dry more than a few days.
